He also noted reports of abundant oil and natural gas reserves in Indonesia, underscoring the significance of renewable energy, particularly solar power, for the country’s future. He elaborated on how solar energy could lead to energy independence for various regions, signaling a promising future for Indonesia.
The President reiterated his administration’s commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2060, expressing confidence in Indonesia’s ability to lead the global energy transition. He believed that Indonesia had the potential to be at the forefront of countries reaching net-zero emissions on schedule, showcasing the nation as a frontrunner in sustainability efforts and renewable energy projects.
